Sekou Alleyne is a visionary leader at the helm of Global Trinidad and Tobago and the driving force in positioning Trinidad and Tobago as the premier trade and investment destination in the Caribbean. With an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Concordia University, Montreal, Sekou brings over a decade of expertise in strategic business development and investor attraction.
Previously, Sekou served as President of InvesTT, one of the three legacy organisations now amalgamated into Global Trinidad and Tobago. As a leading member since InvesTT’s inception in 2012, Sekou has been instrumental in shaping the nation’s investment landscape. His notable achievements include leading the emergence of the international business process outsourcing (BPO) cluster which consists of 9 operational firms currently employing over 2,500 persons. He also led the tenanting of e TecK’s Phoenix Park Industrial Estate with 98% tenant commitment.
Sekou’s primary focus is to strategically improve the visibility of Trinidad and Tobago as a trade and investment destination of choice. Under his leadership, Global Trinidad and Tobago aims to enhance the country’s position as a global business hub, fostering innovation and creating pathways for sustainable economic growth.
